Roadworks & Diversions
affecting our Services
Currently our buses are having to make the following
diversions:
The Rock / Angouleme Way, Bury - Most Bus Services
in Bury area
From 10th February 2007
Due to major redevelopment work being carried out near the Rock, Bury many
of dual carriageways and the roundabout at the junction of Rochdale Road,
The Rock and Angouleme Way are restricted to one lane. Because of
this, many bus services in the area are operating delayed.
Some services which don't operate in this area are still likely to be
affected because of the additional traffic congestion on other roads. Where
possible we aim to minimise the disruption by using additional buses but
this is not always possible.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused, unfortunately this
is beyond our company's control.
Services mainly affected are 461, 465, 468, 469, 475, 476, 480, 481, 482,
483, 484, & 494
Gale Street, Syke - Service 440
February 2007
Unfortunately due to roadworks on Gales Street in the Syke area of Rochdale,
service 440 will not be able to serve the housing area of Newark Road,
Newlands Road and Gale Street and will operate along Dewhirst Road
terminating at Syke Chapel.
Bamford Road, Heywood - Service 465
From December 2006
Due to the closure of Bamford Road due to a fire, service 465 will divert
(towards Heywood) via Bury & Rochdale Old Road, Queens Park Road & Bamford
Hall Road back onto Bamford Road. Buses will operate the reverse of this
route when returning from Heywood towards Bury & Nangreaves.
Longsight Road, Bury - Services 475, 476 &
477 (and 461)
From November 2006
Due to major gas mains repair work being carried out on Longsight Road
between Bury Town Centre and Holcombe Brook, buses operating services 475,
476 and 477 are likely to be delayed, particularly during the busier
peak-times. Because some services inter-work across Bury Town Centre, these
works may cause disruption to some other bus services, in particular service
461. Please accept our apologies of these delays which are unfortunately
beyond our company's control. Where possible we will try to provide
additional vehicles to help buses run to time.
